Article 1
In the context of the international festival "Nature in all his Arts" that will take place in 2010 and as part of the international humanitarian project "One Child, One Tree, One Forest" Communic’Art is organising an art competition on the theme of nature. For that competition all formes of art are welcome: Video, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Music, Dance, Writing and Performance.
Article 2
The contest is open to artists from all over the world, without age limit. The theme of nature in very large: mineral, vegetal, animal, human... Artists have to represent, symbolize or express the nature in the category of their choice. The association will pay special attention to artists who mix the Arts, for example combining dance, painting, dance, music, etc..
Article 3
The deadline for participation is the 20th December for Video and the 25th January for all other categories. The applications that we receive after that date will not be taken into account.
Article 4
To participate, please send us as soon as possible all the demanded documents in each category that you will see below, the application form (present on our web site) filled, dated and signed and a 45-euro subscription for the Communic'Art association. If you have no possibilities to write a check, you can also do a bank transfer (ask us for more information).
Article 5
The received works will be shown in the virtual gallery on the website of Communic'Art. Communic'Art is not be responsible for the quality of the received photos.
Article 6
The artworks for the different categories of the competition are:
- Video : a short film with a trailer of 30 seconds to 1 minute and a summary of the subject.
Videos should be sent only on CD-rom. Only trailers will be released and available on the website of Communic'Art.
- Painting : photos of three paintings (real dimensions about 70/60 cm), in electronic format. Send them to the e-mail communic.art@wanadoo.fr (Communic'Art is not be responsible for the scan quality or reproduction of photos sent)
- Sculpture: photos of three sculptures (real dimensions about (80/40 cm), in electronic format. Send them to the e-mail communic.art@wanadoo.fr (Communic'Art is not be responsible for the scan quality or reproduction of photos sent)
- Photography : three photographs in electronic format (real dimensions about A4/A3). Send them to the e-mail communic.art@wanadoo.fr (Communic'Art is not be responsible for the scan quality or reproduction of photos sent)
- Music: one to five songs, instrumental or not, with a maximum of 25 minutes for the entire musical production. A song should not exceed five minutes. The music should be sent only on CD.
- Dance: Video, photos and synthesis of a choreography, or simply a description of a choreography (photos and presentation of the different movements). Photos and descriptive summary of the choreography will be published on the website of Communic'Art. (Communic'Art is not be responsible for the scan quality of photos sent)
- Writing: a poem, a text, a novel, a script or a story. The works will be preset on the website of Communic'Art.
- Performing Arts: copy and synthesis of a piece, or photos and video of a performance or play already written and presented in public. The summary and photos will be published on the website of Communic'Art. Videos should be sent only on CD-rom. Communic'Art will not be responsible for the scan quality or reproduction of photos sent.
The jury, presented by Pablo Garcia and the french filmmaker Jan Kounen, will select in all categories the best works. The results will be published on our website and announced by postal or electronic mail to all participants.
Article 8
The prizes for each category of the competition are:
- Video:
1st prize: the first ten selected films will be shown on a screen during the International Video Festival organized in the context of the international festival "Nature is all Arts".
2nd prize: ten next selected films will be shown in our Gallery Jardin.
- Painting, Photography, Sculpture:
1st prize: for the first three selected artists in each category, a month of exhibition in the gallery Jardin in the center of Paris; also possibility to be selected for the international festival “Nature is all Arts”.
2nd prize: for the first fifteen selected artists, the publication of one of the works presented in the competition in a special issue of the magazine”l’Arbre” published by Communic'Art.
3nd prize "special jury": for the selected artists, symbolic representation of one work in a collage.
- Music: : (Only under the condition of at least 60 participants in the contest)
1st prize: 300 € for the first artist or group selected
2nd prize: A concert of 45 minutes for each of the top five artists or groups selected on the stage of the international festival "Nature is all Arts”.
3rd prize: From 6th to 16th artist or group selected a performance at the vernissage in the Art Gallery Jardin.
- Dance : (Only under the condition of at least 60 participants in the contest)
1st prize: 300 € for the first artist or group selected.
2nd prize: for the first five artists or groups selected, a representation on the stage of the international festival "Nature is all Arts”.
3rd Prize: For the first five selected individual dances a possible performance at the vernissage in the Art Gallery Jardin.
Writing : (Only under the condition of at least 60 participants in the contest)
1st prize: 300 € for the first artist selected.
2nd Prize: For the first fifteen selected artists, the publication in a special issue of the magazin “l’Arbre”.
- Performance: (Only under the condition of at least 60 participants in the contest):
1st prize: 300 € for the first group selected.
2nd prize: Each of the first five selected troops will have a performance on the stage of the festival “Nature is all Arts”
Article 9
The artists agree to allow the organizers of the competition the distribution and reproduction of their works in all medias of communication used by Communic'Art (internet, video ... etc) to promote the competition and the works of artists, until the official end of the contest by the festival "Nature in all Arts".
Article 10
With their participation the artists assure the organizers and the jury the originality of their works submitted in the contest.
Article 11
The Participation in the competition implies the acceptance of these rules. All dates of the events could be changed.
